Test Development Job Opportunities

Overview

Pearson is seeking highly qualified members from the field of education for test development opportunities. The following positions are currently available:

Item Writers

Item writers construct passages and/or develop test questions for educational assessments. A bachelor's degree is preferred with experience in item writing, teaching, or developing state standards, curriculum, or tests or test-preparation activities. Opportunities exist in the following content areas:

  • English Language Arts (Reading, Writing)
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Social Studies

Artists/Graphic Artists

Artists must be experienced with CAD or other graphics software.

Reviewers of Content and Fairness/Sensitivity issues

Content reviewers must have a strong educational foundation, work experience, and understanding of a specific content area. Fairness/sensitivity reviewers must have personal knowledge of, experience in, and sensitivity to ethnic, gender-related, geographical, and socio-economic concerns. Opportunities are independent contractor work.

Applicants interested in test development opportunities should have access to a computer and be able to submit and receive materials electronically.
