Pearson Educational Measurement Experts Participate in 13 Sessions at Council of Chief State School Officers’ 37th Annual National Conference on Large-Scale Assessment

Presenters to Address Topics Ranging FromTechnology and Assessment to Strategies for Reporting Test Results

IOWA CITY, Iowa – May 9, 2007 – Eleven experts from Pearson Educational Measurement will participate in 13 different sessions at the Council of Chief State School Officers’ (CCSSO) 37th Annual National Conference on Large-Scale Assessment, June 17-20, in Nashville, Tenn. Presenters will address topics such as using technology to score assessments, innovative assessments for students with disabilities and future trends in assessment.

CCSSO is a nationwide organization of the public officials who lead state departments of elementary and secondary education. Its annual conference on large-scale assessment draws more than 1,300 leaders in student assessment to discuss critical issues, such as the assessment and evaluation of students with limited English proficiency and students with disabilities, test development, assessment administration and security, and strategies for reporting results to teachers, parents and the public. The theme for this year’s conference, which features 107 sessions, is “Effective Student Assessment: Informing and Supporting the Learning Process.”
